Hi Ladies
I got call from my SA yesterday to collect 11C Pink Patent M/L and Light Pink Patent M/L. When I went to boutique, I immediately decided that I would get the Pink one. Meanwhile I was hestiated whether to get the Light Pink or not.... It is kind of perfect "nude" to me; however, I already have Jumbo Rosey Beige in Caviar from 10C. Besides, I need to save my fund for my second H Kelly . I just bought Iris Kelly and I am waiting for Rose Tyrien and Orange for the coming season... So I, by that time, thought I should not get the light pink yet.
However, now, I am not sure whether I make right decision or not to pass this light pink. Do I make right decision???
Your comment will be appreciated
I saw this color in real life. The light pink or powder pink or nude is beautiful and gorgeous but not in the long run. The light patent
is very hard to take care of. It is easy to get color transfer and color fade. I saw many light Chanel patent bags that had these problems. I will pass even though I am a pink lover. This is my opinion but it depends on you. You can read about this topic from tpf. There is a girl who has the same concern.

[SIZE="4"] Should I keep the cruise 11 fuchsia patent flap?
So I ordered the m/l fuchsia patent flap yesterday and was really disappointed to read that some ladies have had issues with patent and color transfer/bleeding/migration. I called my SA today and she said this can happen with all light colored bags, especially when rubbing against denim, suede or leather.
I'm a human being and cannot keep the bag from touching other things, especially when I like to enjoy my bags and wear them often. Yet the fuchsia color is so gorgeous!
This is going to be my first patent... Should I keep the order? I'd also love to hear input from ladies who have the fuchsia in mini and m/l to see how theirs have been holding up.
Thanks!
Couldn't agree more that u pass the powder pink
Coz it's too hard to take care off
PS kelly in pink(Rose Tyrien ) looks awesome
Congratulation in advance.
Thanks for your comment ka K.Su, K.Botanic... I am not so worried about colour transfer. I have few patent flaps (Lipstick Red, Plum, Grey) and I always use it when I wear light colour clothes, and they are absolutely fine... However, I am more worried about colour fading issue that it might not be worth for the investment.
So far, I might try to get this light pink in WOC instead, if I can find it ( seems it is currently sold out here)... It is still afforable (which will be good for my H Funding) yet getting feminine look
I understand ka. Actually, I planned to get my first patent but after I read the topic about color transfer and color migration......................(sigh) I changed my mind. I am a paranoid person but pink is TDF. I got a headache. This is Sophie's comment. She is the Chanel expert. I thought that you already read it.
Color transfer is the transfer of another color (blue in jeans for example) to the main color (of the bag). Color migration extends beyond a simple color transfer to include fading. Prolonged and frequent exposure to sunlight can result in color migration on the exposed area. Although it can happen it any light color leather and fabric, patent is known for fading faster than other leathers. Metallic is also known for fading, including the dark colors.
